Day 3 of my journey

Day 3 of my journey begins. I am excited at a beautiful day which means, a lot can be accomplished today. Maybe I can spread the word today as I do my errands. I can make bookmarks with my story on them and give them to the library to pass out. I can post my flyers on local bulletin boards at a supermarket or a department store. While I am out and about today, maybe I can sign up a few walkers. I have a couple doctor appointments this week. Maybe I can put flyers up in their office. Today is a sunny day, and sunny days inspire me. I have inspiration running through my whole body right now. I am excited that making a difference is so inspirational, I feel like I'm on top of the world right now. I have another story that my brother told me. He went to a camp in Sacramento. He got to visit the governors office. At this camp, they were many inspirational speakers, some able bodied, some with a disability. One of the speakers said that everyone has a disability. Whether it is a physical disability, or a mental disability. Everyone has some sort of obstacle that they always manage to overcome. Just because someone's obstacle is physical, it makes no difference to what kind of person they are or their personality.
My journey continues.

Day 2 of my journey

Day 2 of my journey begins. I have decided on my plan of attack to this situation. I will hold a walk-a-thon to raise money to buy books on ADA. I will also try to create a workshop-type event where I will have several guest speakers that are successful men or women that have some sort of disability. These events will not take place until later in the year, but they require lots of planning in order for them to be successful. I plan to write to many people of importance to ensure that people can help support me in what I'm doing. I will make sure that this plan is taken to great heights. Today is Sunday, so I can not contact major business companies in asking for support in this great journey. If you haven't seen the movie Music Within, you should see it. It is such an inspirational movie. It makes you believe that anything is possible for everyone.
My journey continues...

Day 1 of my journey

Day 1 of my journey begins. My name is Morgan, and I want to make a difference. My story starts with a small school project for my brother. My brother is my hero, he changes the lives of everyone he meets. I hope my journey makes a difference in many lives. Here is my story. One day my brother decided to work on a project for his school. He was going to research ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) for his project. He went to his school library and asked for a book on ADA, the librarian told him that there was only one book on this subject in the entire school district. Lucky for him, I attended that one school at the time. He asked me if I would check it out for him. I was shocked that there was only one book on ADA in the entire district. I willingly picked up the book for him the next day. As I checked out the book, I realized that the book was very stiff. It felt and looked like a brand new book. I opened it up and realized that this book had never been checked out. Now I understood that this one book started my entire journey. Awareness on ADA was next to nothing. Nobody knew what it was or how it effected them. My job was to change this, to make a difference in my community. I couldn't let this topic get brushed away by reality. I will do all I possibly can to start this journey, and change as many lives as I can in the process.
